I got involved in a pie face franchise in 2011 and spent my whole life savings on two of their stores. Just one year later the loss making stores were taken away from me by pie face. One of them was subsequently sold to another unsuspecting franchisee that has now also been lost to pie face, the other was operated as a company run store and closed within 6 months.

I lost over $800,000 with Pie Face and surprised to see how easy it is for someone to do this to us and run away to US opening shop there using our money. In Australia number of Franchisees have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars and have suffered Family break ups. So many stores are getting closed. I have also lost an enormous amount of money on this franchise. Pie face spent $4 million dollars of Autralian franchisee money to open their first store in NYC just to brag about it, a lot of that money was mine and all the other franchisees money in Australia.
